Cost-effective, easy, customizable and affordable option of storing and sharing media files and documents like Dropbox to verified clients and employees.
Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) is a highly accessible, scalable, and secure object-level storage solution for storing and downloading files. However, clients often face the challenge of lacking an easily accessible interface to access data from S3 Buckets. To address this issue, we implemented NextCloud, an open-source, self-hosted storage management solution, on top of a Linux EC2 instance and integrated it with the S3 storage buckets.
NextCloud, a versatile suite of open-source client-server software, allowed aamra networks limited to assist Denim Expert Ltd. in creating their own private versions of popular cloud storage platforms like Dropbox or Google Drive. This integration empowered the client with full control over their data, alleviating concerns about availability issues or privacy agreements.
The seamless integration of NextCloud with Amazon S3 buckets on an EC2 instance provided a user-friendly interface, enhancing the client’s workflow and simplifying data access. With granular control over data access permissions, the client could securely manage who has access to their data and authorize specific permissions.
The combination of EC2 instances, NextCloud and Amazon S3 not only offered cost-effective storage but also ensured ease of use, enhanced security, and improved data accessibility for Denim Expert Ltd., providing them with a smoother and more efficient workflow.
With the customized UI provided by NextCloud, Denim Expert Limited can now effortlessly share files with their customers. The initial storage requirement significantly increased, highlighting the success and scalability of the implemented EC2 and NextCloud solution, backed by S3.
